About Cake Mama LLC

My name is Emi and I'm a mom to 2 beautiful little girls named Raina and Elsie. I have had a passion for decorating cakes since I was in middle school, and spent most of high school working or interning at a couple different bakeries and taking baking classes at the vocational tech school. I have a bachelor's degree in culinary arts and I've spent 10 years of my life working in kitchens all across NE and even a couple down in NC. After moving back to NH, where I was born and raised, to start a family of my own I had a brief career switch and spent 4 years working at a living facility for adults with various developmental disabilities.
The passion for decorating cakes never faltered though, as I was always making them for my family's birthdays. Then one day I was asked to make a cake for a coworker's daughter. It was so well received I decided to start a Facebook page with all the different pictures of cakes I'd made over the years. I spent the next 2.5 years from 2017-2020 working my full time job and taking random cake and cupcake orders on the side, building my clientele, and slowly gaining more followers.
Then COVID happened, and it became impossible for me to find childcare to maintain my full time job. I took a huge leap of faith in May of 2020 and decided it was time to leave my day job and throw everything I had into Cake Mama and see what happens. It was scary to commit to something so financially unpredictable, but I am so glad I did! I never could have imagined I'd still be here years later, able to do this, working from my own, in-home bakery kitchen space and being able to keep my girls home with me as I do so. I am so appreciative of all the support this community has given me and for trusting me with your family's birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, graduations, weddings and more. I still have big plans for the future of Cake Mama, and I can't wait to bring you all along with me!
